Hey Everyone, A little update on season 3 as I am sure you are eager to hear some news! Kev, Sean, and I have been hard at work working out all of the details and the kinks for season 3 and I think we are making some awesome progress towards a season with less... issues... So with that being said here are some updates: - Season 3 will have standing starts (no more glitchy/DQ'd starts!!) - Season 3 will be going to new tracks, we will not be doing any tracks from season 2. - To clarify the weekend schedules; - The single race weekends will be run similar to the last 2 seasons, with a 20-minute qualifying session and a longer 1-2 hour race.
- The multiple race weekends will be a new format for GTSL where there will be 2 shorter races separated by short qualifying sessions. This will enable us to do more races in fewer amounts of time (no more 6-month schedule).
- For example:
- Q1: 10 minutes - R1: 30 minutes - Q2: 10 minutes - R2: 30 minutes
- This will be the same amount of racing, however, it will be broken up so that we are able to visit more tracks and giving more drivers the opportunity to score more points.
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!

edit: We might be running a shorter 2 races night with 2 North American tracks that we ran in season 2..
I know a lot of people liked Watkins Glen & The Indy GP round were very clean with no PC2 curb glitches...

I really like this format!
The ONLY problem I can see that if someone misses 1 night of racing, they miss out on 2 races. Otherwise... I think it's a great idea!

Yes we understand, we are also looking into the possibility of different championship point scales per race. (Meaning the longer single race nights might have more points you can earn towards the championship.)
However, with shorter 2 race nights this puts an incentive towards participation and attendance. I think we like the fact that if you attend the most races you have the best chance to finish good in championship points.
Also if we keep all races point structure the same this gives drivers a great reason not to miss our new shorter sprint round nights as they can score 2x race points in one night. Plus we've had a few drivers say that they are better suited for shorter sprint style races anyway.
